The Amy Winehouse biopic, directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and produced by Studiocanal, debuted at the top of the English and Irish box office with £2.77 million ($3.4 million). It was followed by Alex Garland’s “Civil War” and Universal’s “Kung Fu Panda”.
