American Bruce Springsteen will become the first international songwriter this year to receive a scholarship from the Ivors Academy, the UK-based association’s highest award. The singer-songwriter and guitarist will be recognised “for his outstanding contribution to the art of songwriting and its impact on the UK cultural landscape”.
