China: Daily COVID cases have risen to a 2-year high

Mainland China has recorded the highest daily number of new local symptomatic COVID-19 infections in about two years. China reported 214 domestic cases with confirmed symptoms, most of which occurred in the provinces of Guangdong, Jilin, and Shandong.
