Donald Trump in New York will begin next month for the first time in history 

The first-ever criminal trial of a former US president is set to begin next month, with Donald Trump defending himself against charges of hiding money. A 77-year-old man appeared in court in New York on Thursday, asking for the trial to be halted or delayed. Judge Juan Merchan was not persuaded by arguments that the trial schedule would hurt his presidential campaign.
