Forbes has published a list of the world’s richest celebrities for 2024. At the top were directors, singers, presenters and athletes. Last autumn Taylor Swift received the status of billionaire, becoming a performer who made such a fortune in music, not in third-party businesses. At the top of the list was George Lucas, thanks to his deal to sell LucasFilm in 2012 to Disney for $4bn.
