Italy beats Australia to win the Davis Cup

Italy won the Davis Cup for the second time, beating Australia 2-0 in the final on Sunday. After Matteo Arnaldi defeated Alexey Popyrin in the first singles match, Italy’s number one Yannick Sinner sealed the title with an easy win over Alex De Minaur. Italy’s only other title in the elite men’s team event was won in 1976.
