North Korea test-fired a new hypersonic medium-range solid-propellant hypersonic missile. The aim of the launch was to test the reliability of new high thrust solid propellant multistage engines and a manoeuvrable hypersonic medium-range guided hypersonic warhead, according to CTAC, which said the test posed no threat to the security of neighbouring countries.
