The Philippines has received $5.3 billion in funding from Canada
The Philippines and the UN Development Programme have secured $5.3 billion in climate finance from Canada, the President’s Office in Manila said Wednesday. The co-operation and funding commitment will run until 2026 and Canada will support the Philippines in promoting biodiversity conservation, climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience with gender equality, it said.
