British people’s satisfaction with the state-owned National Health Service fell to an all-time low by 2023, showing the challenge it poses for the government ahead of this year’s election. The British Social Attitudes survey found that 24% of respondents were satisfied with the service in 2023, the lowest level recorded since respondents were first asked in 1983.
